Plot:
David Aames takes all he has for granted; his wealth, his inherited publishing company, his good looks - his relationships. Especially his relationships. It catches up to him when a friend/sometimes sex-partner can't see their relationship the way he sees it. From that point, the movie takes a Lynchian twist that ultimately and literally pulls us into Aames' tortured psyche.

Other Information:
•"Vanilla Sky" is a remake of the 1997 Spanish film "Abre los Ojos" (Open Your Eyes).
•After auditioning for a part in the new Susan Sarandon-Goldie Hawn film, Tara stopped by the set of the movie to watch the actors. When the director spotted her he immediatly cast her into the movie and created a new scene for her to be in. The whole scene was improvised on the spot.
•Tara (5'1") had to stand on a box to be closer to Cameron Diaz's height (5'9").
•Tara's scene ended up being left on the cutting room floor, and did not appear in the movie. It was also not in the DVD. This is one of the only new movies that doesn't have a deleted scenes in the Special Features section of the DVD.
