Michael

One of Tara's good friends. Michael hosts a lot of fun parties and bbq's at his house, which usually includes karoke in his basement. Michael is a actor too, and spends his free time in L.A. when he is not filming for his show.

Ashley Jones

Tara first met Ashley on the set of "Y&R" back in 1999. The two became friends, and then drifted apart after Tara stop appearing on the show. In early 2004, Tara ran into Ashley at an audition and the two have been best friends ever since. Ashley are Tara are both from Houston Texas, and her and Tara are "so alike it's wierd." The girls have been working on writing a screenplay together. They recently took the screenplay to a network which loved the idea, and sent in an award winning writer to help finish it. Ashley lives two blocks away from Tara and is married to Noah Nelson.

Jason Padgett

Tara and Jason met on the set of "The Metro Chase" and have been friends ever since. Fun tidbit... Jason lives in Sharon Stone's old apartment. Two of Tara's favorite things to do with Jason are go on morning runs together, and play basketball, even though Tara looses because she's so short! Tara and Jason have a "give each other a hard time kind of friendship."

Andrew

One of Tara's friends in L.A. He took Tara out to eat and to a little pub on her birthday. Tara and Andrew played two games of darts at the pub. Tara lost both games. Andrew also took Tara gambling for the first time -- she won 25 dollars.

Anastasia Emmons

Tara and Anastasia met on the set of Touched By An Angel and became friends. The two now wrote to each other for a while, and started hanging out again when Anastasia moved back to LA. They have a lot in common and always have fun together.

Angela Nikodinov

Tara and Angela have been friends for many years, and met through Tara's skating career. Angela is one of Tara's closest friends and is a competitive amateur figure skater. Angela is the skater that Tara is pulling for to win Nationals every year, "okay so I'm a little baised."

Erin Elbe

Tara met Erin at a skating competition nine years ago. The two were best friends until they had a falling out in mid-2003. Erin lived and travled part time with Tara, and spent her free time at college in Oregon. A fun tidbit about the two girls... the night before a skating competition in Budapest, Hungary, Tara thought it would be funny to put toothpaste all over Erin's face. The next day, Tara skated really well, and it became a ritual that the nigh before Tara competed, she would put toothpaste all over Erin's face. The night before the Olympic long program, Tara called Erin (it was around four in the morning her time) and they put the toothpaste on her face over the phone! Erin has a huge fascination with Walt Disney, which Tara found quite funny.

Kurt Browning

Tara and Kurt have known each other for years, skating together. Kurt and Tara are very close, and have a special bond with each other. Kurt has been quoted as saying, "It just feels great to skate with her. I like carrying her across the ice. I like skating and jumping beside her. There is some kind of connection we have that is obvious to us, but I think obvious to the audience as well." Kurt's nickname for Tara is T.T. Tara and Kurt are usually paired or put close together in duets or in Stars On Ice group numbers. One of Tara's favorite things to do at Stars On Ice rehersals was to sit on the boards and kid around with Kurt and give him a hard time. An interesting tidbit about the two... during the 2002 Stars On Ice show in Orlando, Tara tripped in the closing number and would have fallen, but Kurt caught her just in time!

Landon

Tara and Landon met at the premiere of "XXX." They attended the Carousel Of Hope Ball together in October 2002.

Gleb

One of Tara's good friends in Los Angeles. Gleb is very laid back which Tara says, "is good for me."

Dan

Responsible for starting Tara's obsession with watching the Laker's play basketball. Dan is always trying to get Tara to try new resturants, because she always gets stuck in a routine. Fun tidbit... Dan took Tara to Disneyland, Dan won a huge stuffed animal by tossing a baseball into a hole in a milk can. Tara got to keep it and bring it home. The stuffed animal scared Coco!

Lindsey Weber

Tara has known Lindsey for many years, and they trained together in Detroit. Lindsey is a competitive skater who loves Britney Spears. Tara and Lindsey to not get to spend as much time together as they'd like, but still manage to visit each other whenever possible. The two girls took a trip to Hawaii in 1999. The highlight of their trip was swimming with the dolphins. Also on their Hawaii vacation Lindsey tried lobster for the first time.

Todd Eldredge

For about three years, Tara and Todd were inseperable when they trained together at the Detroit Skating Club. Todd tought Tara to drive when she was 15 in his BMW. Todd has always been very supportive of Tara, and visa versa, and is like a big brother to her. Todd would always take Tara's skate gaurds and hide one, or mess up the placement of them to get on Tara's nervers (she's very picky about the placement of her skate gaurds). Tara's favorite gift from Todd is a beanie babie named Garcia.

Scott Hamilton

Tara and Scott became friends in 1998. Tara looks up to Scott and his skating. Scott, in a way, also admire's Tara... "She's just amazing. You think you can put her arm around her and help her with something and she already knows the answer."

Nicole Bobek

Tara and Nicole have been friends since 1997, and spend time together when they tour or compete in a skating competition together.

Angela Nikodinov

Rudy Galindo
Rudy is one of Tara's closest skating friends. Rudy was Tara's closest friend when she toured with Champions On Ice, and the two were constantly together whenever they had time off from skating. Tara and Rudy have always had a special bond, and try to spend time together whenever possible. Even if they cannot spend time together, they still communicate via phone. Little tidbit... during the Champions On Ice tour in 1998, Rudy made a bunch of decorations and put them up in the back of the tour bus for Tara's birthday.

Oksana Baiul

Tara and Oksana spent time together while Tara toured with Champions On Ice. During the 1997 tour, Tara would watch Oksana skate every night, learning from her example. During rehersals, Tara would often follow Oksana's lead, listen carefully to her critiques. Tara always looked to Oksana for advice, but Tara's parents wouldn't let Oksana give her driving lessons!

Jenni Meno

Tara's closest friend on tour with Stars On Ice. The two were also room mates whenever skaters had to share a hotel room. Jenni is married to Todd Sand, who is also her skating partner. The two spent a lot of time together during Tara's stay at the Olympic Village.

Julia Lautowa

Julia is an Austrian figure skater who was ranked number one in Austria in 1997. Tara and Julia met at the 1996 World Championships and ran into each other again at Skate America in 1997. Julia stayed at Tara's house for about three weeks, the Lipinski's acting as a sort of "host family" for a couple weeks. Tara and Julia had a lot of fun learning about each others cultures, playing laser tag, having sleepovers, and celebrating Julia's first Halloween (it's not a holiday in Austria). The girls had a lot in common, including the same training schedule's [during Julia's stay] and especially in their taste in music (back in 1997 they both loved the Backstreet Boys).

Brittney Bortz

Tara has known Brittney since she was three. During Tara's first trip to the roller rink, Tara had refused to "put those ugly brown rental skates on" her feet. Brittney showed Tara that she was wearing the skates and having a lot of fun, so Tara agreed to put them on. The girls became friends and took roller skating lessons together. Tara spends time with Brittney whenever she is visiting her Uncle Phil and Aunt Edith in New Jersey.

Tammy Guitterez

Tammy works at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World as the character Snow White. Tara met Tammy when she was very little, and the two have become special friends. Tara always makes sure to visit Tammy on her annual trip to Disney World.

Erin Sutton

Although Tara and Erin no longer keep in touch, the two were friends for a while back in 1997. Erin Sutton was Tara's best friend, along with Erin Elbe.

Lacey Chabert

Lacey Chabert is an actress, starring in the television 'Party of Five' and in movies such as 'Daddy Day Care' and 'Mean Girls.' Lacey is currently working on a couple movies as well as doing voicework for the Nickelodeon series " The Wild Thornberrys," doing the voice of Eliza Thornberry. Tara and Lacey were pen pals until Tara lost Lacey's address. It was given to her again a few years ago.
