I got this e-mail from Jackie...I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a commercial that airs on NBC about the Olympics. They show a lot of Olympians from 1998 and Tara was in the commercial a few times. The commercial shows clips of all of the Olympians doing their sport while "America the Beautiful" plays in the background. Be on the look out for it. I'm sure it will air more and more being that the Olympics are just weeks away.

I have scanned in the new 2002 Stars On Ice 'Gold' ad. The scan is large so it may take a while to download if you are on a modem.
Amanda from TOI asked me to put this up....Triumph on Ice is back with a brand new website! Whilst we have had a break from the internet, Triumph on Ice has continued to operate offline, and now we have a brand new website at www.toifanclub.com.

Tara is in the new 2002 IFS calendar for the month of June. The picture in it is from the IFS fashion issue photo shoot. The picture that is in the calendar was not featured in the magazine. (thanks to Jess) World Ice Challenge was played on CBC last night. You can read a transcript of it here.

Tara may be in the 'Wide World of Sports 40th Anniversary' Saturday at 8pm est on ABC. Here is a discription of the show from TVGuide.com.Jim McKay recalls the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat in memorable moments from the sports anthology program and other ABC Sports specials.
Spanning 40 years of athletic achievements and oddities, the retrospective features a little something for everyone, including barrel jumping, cliff diving and demolition derbies. Among the thrilling performances are Jim Beatty's sub-four-minute mile and Nadia Comaneci's “perfect 10,” while the agony of defeat is again revisited by ski jumper Vinko Bogataj. Other segments remember the Leonard-Duran “no mas” fight; U.S. figure-skating champions; and extreme athletes, from Evel Knievel to Tony Hawk.

Merry Christmas everybody :) A couple people have told me that Tara was on the Today Show this morning collecting gifts again. I do not know if this is true, and if she was on it, it may just be the same footage from last time. If you have any info on this please let me know.

Some Divas On Ice captures have been added to the photo gallery. Sorry the captures are not too great, the tape quality wasn't too great. According to MSN, the Galleria is listed as one of the top 10 ice rinks in the country. You can view the list here. (thanks to Tyler) I got this e-mail from Samantha. It looks like Tara is in IFS a lot this year. I cannot put up and scans from IFS due to copyright issues.I just wanted to let you know that Tara is in IFS magazine a LOT this month!!! She is on pageg 8 (aicture with Roz and Joanna from the Memorial Fund show), page 14 (ad for an SOI video), page 17 ("Riding The Wave"story, half a page, and a DWM pic), page 51 ("A Skating Tribute" story, whole page, and picture with Randy Gardner)page 52 & 53 "End of Their Reign" some quotes,pic on the Olympic podium and DWM pic), page 59 (Harlick ad w/pic from 97 Nationals), page 65 (SOI ad, GOLD, whole page). She is not in the Capezio ad this month though :(

Don't forget to watch Diva's On Ice today from 4:00 - 6:00. Tara Lipinski has signed with the William Morris Agency and is no longer with IMG. She split with IMG strictly on a buisness decision.

Tara made an appearance at a holiday skating party on Monday, Dec, 17, at 7pm with the families of NYC Fireman at Wollmen Rink in Central Park. I have added some video captures from Tara on the Today Show this morning. Each picture links to a different page. The first two are from the skating lesson and the third one is when Tara and Kristi went around collecting gifts.
There was a picture of Tara in last week's TV Guide Magazine which came with all Sunday newspapers. It was an add for Hallmark World Skaters Championships (although Tara was not in the competition).

Jacki sent me this e-mail two days ago....Today at 8:55 am, Tara was featured in a commercial on NBC about the segment she did with a girl who lost her dad in the WTC attack. They showed her skating with the girl and said that her segment and others like it will be aired on Monday, December 17, 2001. Everyone set your VCR's.
TaraFans.com was the Celebrity Site Of The Day yesterday. Make sure to tell them congratulations! There is an article on Tara in USA Weekend. There is also an advertisment for the snow globe. I have added some captures from 'The Great American History Quiz: For Kids'.
Megan has sent me some pictures of Tara's Olympic short dress that is on display at the 'All Star Cafe' along with some of her SOI photo's from last year.

Tara's scene was cut out from Vanilla Sky :( It will probably be available along with some other deleted scenes on the Specaial Features section of the DVD. I've been asked this question a couple times so I will just put the answer here in case anyone was wondering. Yes, Tara did change her program music for her American Tribute. At the end, the song used to be Battle Hymn of the Rebublic. She changed it to 'Proud to be an American'. Steve's SOI pictures from Lady Marmade are up on TaraFans.com with the rest of his photo's. They are great! You can view the new photo's here and the entire SOI gallery her. I got this e-mail this morning from Mark. There was more in it but I am only putting the part about Tara up....I spent an hour sitting and chatting with Pat in Lake Placid 3 weeks ago during SOI weekend. Let's just say Tara has Osteo problems in her hip that rival the problems I'm having in my knee. We both take Advil in the morning with our breakfast! This isn't stopping Tara, so I guess I don't have to let it stop me. Of course, Tara is made of steel - I worked out in the Simsbury gym one time with her in there - she's a tough one, alright.

One of Tara's appearances on Hollywood Squares was re-played in on some ABC stations this morning. Hip Hop On Ice was played on a French channel yesterday. At the end the reported for the station was talking to Tara. She asked Tara about the show, why she had this idea, ect. When the reported starts wrapping up the interview she was speaking in french. Tara said "Oh, is this a French channel?' The reported, in english, told her it was. Then Tara said "Hi everyone who's french!".I have added some pictures from Celebration Of Gold by Scott Philips.

Please vote for this site for the awards listed on the main page. Tara is in a computer trivia game called Trivial Pursuit. She is under the category "Sports" in the game. The question asks.. 'What female athlete won four Olympic gold medals in one Olympics?'. One of the answer choices was Tara Lipinski, although it wasn't the correct answer. You can view a signed photo of Tara with the rest of the COG cast here. The new ad for Kleenex has a picture of Tara from Nagano with a caption that says..."11,642 hours practing + 1 flawless performance = 1 heartstopping moment. In Triumph, in defeat...thank goodness for KLEENEX tissues."

Jessica sent me an email this afternoon telling me that Tara was on the Today Show this morning. I don't know if she was or not, but if she was... sorry, no captures, because I had no idea about it.
