Tara: Hi. How are you?
Jed: Hi. Nice to meet you. I'm Jed.
Tara: Hi.
Jed: I know who you are
Tara: Yup (giggles)
Jed: (hands Tara some presents)
Jed: I couldn't find the address.
Tara: Awww. Thank you.
Jed: Your welcome
Tara: Cool. Oh, I love beanie babies.
Jed: I know
Tara: I'll look through this later.
Jed: Ok. I'm kind of nervous here. I saw you last night at the show . You were awesome.
Jed: Alright, what was going through your head the night you won the gold medal?
Tara: Um. It was kind of strange because I couldn't really remember what I was thinking. It was so exciting and I could barly try to treasure that moment and it went by really fast.
Jed: How do you deal with being in the spotlight? 'Cause everyones always watching you now. What do you, how do you deal with it?
Tara: Well, you know, I just kind of relax with it and I know it's just, you know. I know people are gonna be there and be there recognixing me and just deal with it that way and try and be the best roll model I can.
Jed: Well you're doing a very good job.
Tara: Thank you
Jed: Well you've inspired me, right? This is awesome. You're pretty much the same age. You're a year older than me. You've already accomplished more than like, people have in a lifetime and thats really admirable.
Tara: Thank you very much
Jed: I know that, you know, if I can work hard do the same, you know, I can probably go out and win a gold medal too.
Tara: Definetly
Jed: Yea. She's supportive. I like this.
Tara: (giggles)
Jed: What is your ultimate dream?
Tara: My ultimate dream?
Jed: Ultimate
Tara: Well I guess the Olympics was my ultimate dream and I know I'm gonna have alot more goals and little goals but I don't think anything can compare to what I have accomplished. But um, I don't fell I want to leave it like that, you know, I'll keep, you know, making goals for myself.
Jed: I read that you like the Backstreet Boys on like your webpage.
Tara: Yea, I like them. I like all music. I like Matchbox 20 and the new City Of Angels CD is one of my favorites.
Jed: What is the best advice you have ever recieved?
Tara: Um. The best advice I guess would be from my mom. To go for everything and not look back and never think negatively.
Jed: I'm guessing you don't keep the gold medal in the house.
Tara: Well I do actually. We keep it very safe though in my trophy room.
Jed: Ok now, when you're not skating what do you like to do?
Tara: Um, mostly just be with my friends and relax and go to the movies and rent a movie and watch TV.
Jed: What's your favorite TV show?
Tara: Favorite... I like Party Of Five.
Jed: Alright. Do you think that Baily and Sarah are going to get back together in the season?
Tara: I hope so, I hope so. I like them.
Jed: Yea
Tara: hehehehe
Jed: If you could do this to anybody, if you could interview anybody who would you do it with?
Tara: That's a tough one. I don't know. I look up to a lot of people um, one of the people that I met that I really want to do is Tiger Woods.
Jed: That guy is intense. I saw him at a golf tournament and it's just like focused.
Tara: Yea, he's great and I met him when he was just...
Jed: My partner here and I wanted to show you all this stuff. I wanted to be unique because I was going to send it to you and I wanted to get your attention so I got you a frog puppet.
Tara: I like frogs so that's...
Jed: I read that in Triumph On Ice
Tara: Good
Jed: I looked every where to try and find like and address on the internet and every where I looked for. I went on your chatrooms and just asked everybody.
Tara: Uh huh
Jed: You know. Do you have an address? Yea sorry, can't give it to you.
Tara: Hehehe. Well...
Jed: It's just like. I got you this think its like filled with sand and you just like squeeze it.
Tara: Oh like a little stress, stress thing.
Jed: Stress thing, yea.
Tara: It can help me.
Jed: And I got you a frog on a leash.
Tara: Hehe. How cute.
Jed: Yea
Tara: Aww thank you. I have a little collection so I can put them up there with that.
Jed: Yea. I figured that.
Tara: That's great. hehe
Jed: Alright, well thank you very much...
Tara: Thank you very much
Jed: ...it's a pleasure to meet you. You've inspired me and you are such an insperation to all the young people, you know. You are, you are the positive thing in society, you now. You always hear about you on the news. Kids are busting out, like 45 and just waisting all their teachers and then you get to the Olympics. The wonderful, the beautiful, Tara Lipinski busts out a gold medal and it just makes everything worth while.
